After weeks of schedules and deadlines, the days ahead are less certain as the final deadline to pass legislation – Sunday, May 20 at midnight – is just over two weeks away.
With most of the major omnibus bills now off the House Floor, it remains to be seen how they will be reconciled with the Senate’s omnibus supplemental finance bill, and when that work will start. An unpredictable and potentially complicated conference committee process is likely to begin.
