1.15WHEREAS, the National Day of Prayer is an opportunity for Americans of all faiths to
1.16join in united prayer to acknowledge our dependence on God's grace, to give thanks for blessings
1.17received, to request healing for wounds endured, and to ask God to guide our leaders, bless our
1.18troops, and bring wholeness to the United States and its citizens; and
1.19WHEREAS, May 2, 2013, marks the 62nd consecutive observance of the National Day

2.2their families; and
2.3WHEREAS, the citizens of Minnesota have the opportunity to gather on this day to pray in
2.4their own way to acknowledge that God is not limited to space and time and that he hears our
2.5every word and knows the right time to respond to our prayers; NOW, THEREFORE,
2.6BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the State of Minnesota that it
2.7recognizes May 2, 2013, as a Day of Prayer in the state of Minnesota and commends this
