Rep. Nathan Coulter votes in favor of Earned Sick & Safe Time for all Minnesota workers

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Last night, the Minnesota House approved legislation authored by Rep. Liz Olson (DFL – Duluth) to expand Earned Sick and Safe Time benefits to all Minnesota workers. House File 19 passed on a vote of 69-54. The bill would ensure, at a minimum, one hour of paid Earned Sick and Safe Time for every 30 hours worked for all Minnesota workers, up to at least 48 hours per year.

Rep. Nathan Coulter (DFL – Bloomington) is a co-author of the legislation and voted to support it.

“Having done the work to establish Sick and Safe time requirements for workers in Bloomington during my time on City Council, I’ve seen firsthand the kind of positive impact this will have on families,” said Rep. Coulter. “I’m thrilled that we will be able to provide this for all Minnesotans.”
