ST. PAUL – The 2022 Minnesota Legislative Session convened Monday at the Minnesota State Capitol. Rep. Sandra Feist (DFL – New Brighton) issued the following statement:
“After two challenging years, we are starting to see the state economy turn the corner. But while we celebrate this progress, we must remember that many working families are still struggling. With our $7.7 Billion Dollar surplus, now is the time to address the issues affecting everyday Minnesotans.
This session, I will be focused on advancing a slate of youth-centered legislation to support students and our schools, to protect public safety through juvenile justice reforms, to advocate for bold investments in climate action, and to support families and workers in Minnesota as we continue to move through the pandemic. We have an opportunity to create progress on many areas across all sectors of society so that our students, our families, and our businesses can recover and thrive post-pandemic.”
