Legislative Update- First Day of the 2020 Session

Tuesday, February 11, 2020

Rep. Edelson

Dear Neighbors,

A big thank you to all Edina residents who attended our District 49 town hall meeting at the end of January. We had a wonderful turnout with a lot of engagement and excellent questions about the 2020 legislative session. If you missed it, the City of Edina provided recorded coverage of our conversation and you can check it out here.

Legislators returned to St. Paul today to kick off the 2020 session- House Speaker Melissa Hortman and Majority Leader Winkler previewed the House Majority’s goals under the Minnesota Values Project for a productive and responsible session last week. Please take a moment to share your thoughts and priorities with me by filling out my short, online legislative survey.

Children’s Hospital Minnesota Health Hero Award

I am honored to have received the 2019 Minnesota Health Hero Award from Children’s Hospital with my colleague Rep. Morrison. Ensuring our youngest Minnesotans have access to quality early care continues to be a priority of mine and I’ll keep supporting strategies that keep our kids healthy and safe.
