Dear Neighbors,
I hope you were able to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing Thanksgiving holiday.
Here’s an update from the Capitol:
Minnesota’s new economic forecast, which was released today, indicates that our state is well-positioned to deliver immediate relief to those hurting economically as a result of the pandemic. As we await more aid for our workers and small business owners from the federal government, I continue working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to curb the spread of the virus and support those who are struggling to make ends meet.
The House announced last week a new economic relief package to keep small businesses afloat, support workers struggling to get by, and help Minnesota families keep food on their tables. I am encouraged that Democrats and Republicans are diligently working together with the governor in tackling how we bridge the gap until federal aid comes through. It’s going to take all of us working together to prioritize the financial support our Minnesota families and businesses need. That means investing in safe, healthy, and inclusive communities so all Minnesotans can thrive, during and after the pandemic.
