Tuesday, March 22, 2016

ST. PAUL, MN – On Monday, March 21, Rep. Chad Anderson, R-Bloomington, introduced a bill, HF3412, to appropriate $85 million for the design, engineering, and reconstruction of the 35W-494 interchange. Rep. Anderson issued the following statement on his bill:

“The 35W-494 interchange is one of the most congested sections of highway in our state,” said Anderson. “Like many Bloomington residents, I’ve driven on this interchange countless times and understand we need improvements. My bill allocates $85 million to help fix this problem and assist those who frequently use this roadway.”

The bill was referred to the Transportation Policy and Finance Committee where it is awaiting action. Rep. Anderson is the chief author along with a bipartisan coalition of two Democrats and two Republicans as co-authors.
