I was honored to deliver a portion of the House Resolution that was presented to Justice Page earlier this session as we commemorated his years of service to Minnesota.
Neighbors,
Minnesota Supreme Court Justice, Alan Page, is retiring from the bench this summer after 23 years as a member of our state’s highest court.
Many of you may remember Justice Page from his days as a Hall of Fame member of the Minnesota Vikings and cornerstone of their “Purple People Eaters” defense. After his football playing days were over, Justice Page went on to have a successful career as a lawyer, jurist, and eventually became an associate justice in 1992.
My experience as an attorney has greatly influenced my work as a legislator as I work to ensure that Minnesota’s laws and regulations make sense and work for our businesses and families.
This past week, I attended the Osseo Fire Department’s 100 year anniversary celebration. This event was a great opportunity to meet with members, past and present, of the Osseo Fire Department and thank them for their service to our community.
I was also honored to attend an event this week that raised awareness and support for the Children’s Hospital. Additionally, I attended another event hosted by the Delta Waterfowl Association. This is a group that is focused on preserving waterfowl and securing the future for waterfowl hunting throughout Minnesota.
Here is a list of a few community events that are taking place this coming week!
Please continue to reach out to me to share your thoughts on the issues that impact our state and our community. You can reach me via phone at (651) 296-5502, or via email at Rep.Dennis.Smith@house.mn.
Sincerely,
Dennis
