SAINT PAUL – Representative Drew Christensen, R- Savage, issued the following statement following the passage of House File 30, which will allow the sale of alcohol on Sundays, by a vote of 85-45.
“This is a great day for freedom in Minnesota – freedom for consumers, freedom for businesses. Minnesotans have been asking for Sunday Sales for years and I am proud that today the House overwhelmingly passed the bill to make that a reality,” said Rep. Christensen. “I am also glad to have my ‘Growler Bill’ in committee tomorrow to lift other restrictive regulations that are harming Minnesota’s breweries.”
Rep. Christensen is a co-author on HF 30 as well as chief author of House File 1078 that will significantly increase which breweries in Minnesota can sell growlers.
