THEIS RECEIVES 2019 HOUSING LEADERSHIP AWARD
St. Paul – Representative Tama Theis, R-St. Cloud, was announced Tuesday as a recipient of Housing First Minnesota’s 2019 Housing Leadership Awards. Theis is the Republican lead on the Minnesota House Housing Finance and Policy Division.
“I am honored to be recognized for my work on housing this year,” said Theis. “Housing affordability is a major problem in Minnesota because of burdensome regulations driving up housing costs across the state. Homeownership is unrealistic for too many Minnesota families, and I want to change that. I look forward to continuing to work on this issue next session.”
The award recognizes legislators who played key roles in advancing policies to promote housing affordability and homeownership during the 2019 legislative session. Housing First Minnesota’s membership includes more than 1,200 homebuilding, remodeling, and associated industry businesses.
