Fabian holds third most powerful position in leadership

ST. PAUL, Minn.—State Rep. Dan Fabian, R-Roseau, today was elected by his peers as the Majority Caucus Whip of the Minnesota House of Representatives. Fabian will be third in command of Republican Caucus leadership, alongside the Speaker of the House and the Majority Leader.

As Majority Whip, Fabian will be responsible for keeping track of and leading his peers during votes on the House floor. It is the Whip’s job to ensure success for the majority position on all legislation.

“I am honored to serve as the Majority Whip and pleased to have earned the trust of my fellow legislators,” said Fabian. “I look forward to bringing new ideas and a lot of energy to our caucus. No doubt my years as a coach will serve me well in this leadership position!”

“Rep. Fabian is widely respected in our caucus and is known for his steady leadership. As representative of one of the most geographically expansive districts in the state, he has demonstrated a strong ability to listen to his constituents and communicate effectively. We are fortunate to have him bring those skills to his new role in our caucus,” said Speaker of the House-designate Kurt Daudt, R-Crown.

Fabian will officially assume his new leadership role and his third term on January 6, 2015, when the legislative session begins and the new Republican House Majority is sworn into office.
