Dear neighbor,
I have introduced legislation to provide funding for the Southwest Light Rail Corridor. The line will run diagonally from downtown Minneapolis through the southwest metro suburbs. This is the next step of the light rail development that has been halted in recent years due to lack of funds.
The line will have seventeen stations and through connections, riders will be able to get to the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport, Mall of America, State Capitol and downtown St. Paul. In addition to improving congestion and providing a new transportation option, the construction of the Southwest LRT will create jobs and boost economic growth in the area. I will keep you informed as this bill makes its way through the House and Senate.
Please contact me directly with any questions, comments, or concerns on any issue. I value your input. I can be reached by phone at 651-296-7803 or by email at rep.paul.rosenthal@house.mn. Please contact me anytime I can be of assistance.
Sincerely,
Paul Rosenthal
