At the University of Minnesota Morris, they have an important resource in the Center for Small Towns (CST). Amongst other things, they match students and faculty with rural communities to help identify community needs and develop plans of action. For 17 years the Center for Small Towns (CST) has worked to provide small towns with tools and resources to assist in their success. CST’s work focuses on the concept of bringing the unique skills of University of Minnesota, Morris students and faculty to communities to help meet community-identified needs. CST has worked with communities on projects such as data collection and analysis, environmental health issues, economic empowerment, technological integration, and long term projects to benefit the whole of rural Minnesota.
