ST. PAUL—Today Governor Mark Dayton released his transportation proposal. By 2019, when the plan is fully implemented, the plan is estimated to increase transportation funding in Olmsted County from $9,010,657 to $11,597,117 and increase transportation funding in Rochester from $5,646,848 to $7,265,492. Representative Kim Norton (DFL-Rochester) issued the following statement:
“I am looking forward to learning more about the Governor’s transportation plan as it goes through the committee process. It is encouraging that his proposal addresses long term transportation needs of Olmsted County and Rochester with a 28% funding increase for transportation.”
