Saint Paul – Rep. David Bly (DFL- Northfield) was appointed to serve on the Legislative Water Commission this week. The Legislative Water Commission was created last year to bring state agencies and lawmakers together to help address the growing water issues facing Minnesota, from drought and water shortages, to pollution and changing usage patterns.
“I’m pleased to be appointed to the Legislative Water Commission. I will to do my best to continue the long tradition of stewardship Minnesotans have for our waters,” Rep Bly remarked. “No single part of state government reviews reports, policies and recommendations from all of our state agencies. This commission will bring everyone together to shape a comprehensive water policy that works for all Minnesotans.”
Rep. Bly, who has served on environment and agriculture committees throughout his time in the House will bring that knowledge to bear as he serves on the Water Commission.
