Rep. Anzelc Appointed to Taxes Conference Committee

Thursday, May 2, 2013

ST. PAUL, MN – With the Minnesota House of Representatives and Senate both passing comprehensive budgets for the next biennium, lawmakers from each chamber are beginning to iron out their budgets’ differences in conference committees.

Rep. Tom Anzlec (DFL—Balsam Township) was appointed to serve on the conference committee that will produce a final tax bill.

“After putting in lots of hard work in the House tax committee, I’m pleased to receive this appointment,” said Rep. Anzelc. “I take this responsibility very seriously. As the only member on this committee from northeastern Minnesota, I will be taking a hard look at every provision that impacts our region, like the minerals article, to try and get our people the best deal I can. I will study the Senate’s tax bill and I look forward to working with my colleagues to put a final product together before our adjournment deadline later this month. ”

The full list of members who sit on the taxes conference committee and other conference committee can be found online at www.house.mn.
