ZELLERS STATEMENT ON REPEALING THE SENATE LEGISLATIVE OFFICE BUILDING

Monday, March 24, 2014

ST. PAUL – State Representative Kurt Zellers (R-Maple Grove) released the following statement today regarding the repeal of the proposed Senate Legislative Office Building:

“With Minnesotans paying more in health care, more in property taxes and $1.7 billion in new state taxes, it adds insult to injury to ask hardworking taxpayers for money to build a $90 million luxurious office building for politicians replete with a reflecting pool and fitness center at a cost of over $1.5 million per office,” said Zellers. “In the spirit of the ‘un-session’, the time is now to repeal the Senate Legislative Office Building for the hardworking families of Minnesota.”
