ST. PAUL – Yesterday, Rep. Sheldon Johnson (DFL-Saint Paul) was one of just five lawmakers awarded with an A++ grade as a “Champion of Racial Equity” by Voices for Racial Justice. Voices for Racial Justice is one of Minnesota’s foremost organizations advocating for racial, social, cultural and economic justice.
“I’m honored to not only have a great partner in Voices for Racial Justice, but also to be recognized for the great work we’ve done together to give people of color a stronger voice,” remarked Rep. Johnson. “My commitment to racial and economic equality was one of the things that drew me to serve in public office. While we’ve made progress on these issues, we must continue to break down barriers and lift people up.”
