Legislative Update - January 27, 2015

Tuesday, January 27, 2015

Dear Bloomington neighbor,

The 2015 legislative session is off to a great start and the capitol is a busy place. I am dropping a note to let you know what I have been working on.

I am co-authoring important legislation this year that provides tax benefits to many Minnesotans. I am pleased to report that we have already passed this legislation out of the Minnesota House and Governor Dayton is expected to sign the bill in a day or two.

This legislation, referred to as Tax Conformity, preserves tax relief for homeowners, students, teachers, and businesses that would be lost if the bill had not passed. It also ensures that most Minnesotans will save time and money this year when filing their taxes.

I am also working on a number of important pieces of legislation for Bloomington residents, seniors and students. The Bloomington School Board and the Bloomington City Council have been prioritizing initiatives that they would like me to address at the capitol and I am honored to work with such professional and thoughtful elected officials and city and school district staff.

I am committed to working hard for Bloomington residents and all Minnesotans. I appreciate hearing from you on state issues. I can be reached by phone at 651-296-4218 or by email at rep.ann.lenczewski@house.mn.  Please contact me anytime I can be of assistance.

Sincerely,

Ann Lenczewski

State Representative.
