Dear Neighbor,
The Vogels send our Easter/Passover blessings as the House takes a brief break in observance this week.
This has been a good time to meet with people outside of the Capitol and on Wednesday I was pleased to visit with Donate Life Minnesota. Organ donation is something I am proud to support and above is a picture with two heart-transplant recipients who visited at Fairview Ridge Hospital, where I am a Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
Also present was a representative from the Minnesota Lions Eye Bank, which brought into focus how many different ways lives can be changed though organ donations.
April is Donate Life Month and I encourage people to visit www.donatelifemn.org if you are considering becoming a donor or are interested in learning more.
On a another note, It was nice to recently welcome Father Patrick Barnes of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Elko New Market to the House of Representatives. He served as House Chaplain and you can click here to see video of Father Barnes leading the body in an opening prayer.
