ST. PAUL – State Representative Drew Christensen (R-Burnsville) issued the following regarding the passage of the House Transportation Finance omnibus bill:
“All Minnesotans deserve long-term, stable funding that addresses real transportation concerns,” said Christensen. “The Road and Bridge Act of 2015 guarantees this stability through a ten-year, $7 billion funding proposal overall to ensure safety and ease of travel for every Minnesotan on our roadways and bridges. Thank you to my colleagues for putting Minnesotan’s needs first.
“With the passage of this omnibus bill, I am excited to have the opportunity in the coming weeks to focus on specific transportation concerns for our district,” Christensen continued. “Rep. Roz Peterson and I are proud to put forth HF2155 to replace and expand the I-35W bridge, a major corridor of travel for our district’s residents and those who travel through our area. I look forward to continuing to discuss this bill with my colleagues.”
