RELEASE: Statement from Rep. Anna Wills regarding Governor Dayton's bonding proposal

Tuesday, April 7, 2015
ST. PAUL, MN—Representative Anna Wills, R-Apple Valley, issued the following statement regarding Governor Dayton's bonding proposal, which was released Tuesday morning.

"I want to thank Governor Dayton for coming forward with his bonding proposals, which include full funding for the Minnesota Zoo's Heart of the Zoo II expansion, as well as asset preservation. I am glad he shares a strong commitment to the Minnesota Zoo and recognizes its importance to our community and the entire state. I am disappointed, however, that the Governor included only partial funding for Phase II of the Dakota County Technical College Transportation and Emerging Technologies project.

"These, and many of the projects included, are worthy bonding proposals that we will review during the interim as we explore a bonding bill for the 2016 legislative session. I will continue to work with my colleagues and Dakota County Technical College to find the funding needed to help complete Phase II of the DCTC Transportation and Emerging Technologies project."

Wills is the chief author the bonding proposal for the Minnesota Zoo, and the bonding proposal for Phase II of the Dakota County Technical College Transportation and Emerging Technologies project.
