Republican Leaders Unveil Ten Year, $7 Billion Road and Bridge Plan

St. Paul, MN- On Monday, House and Senate Republicans unveiled their comprehensive, future-oriented proposal for transportation improvements. The plan invests $7 billion over the next decade without raising taxes. The ten-year approach prioritizes road and bridge infrastructure through:

  • Immediate repair of roads and bridges in Minnesota communities
  • Highway improvements for commuters and commerce

  • Reliable, long-term funding without raising taxes

Rep. Brian Daniels (R-Faribault) issued the following statement after the release of the plan:

“This proposal will maintain and expand our road and bridge infrastructure without raising the gas tax,” said Daniels. “Our long-term plan will benefit small cities, rural areas, and suburban communities by making significant investments in our state’s transportation system. I am proud of the thoughtful work that was put into this proposal that will repair or replace 15,500 miles of road and 330 bridges.”
