St. Paul, Minnesota – Tonight, Governor Dayton gave his State of the State address to a joint session of the Legislature. His speech touched on the progress made over the past year and the work that lies ahead. Local Representative Shannon Savick (DFL – Wells) who helped escort Governor Dayton to the House floor, provided the following statement.
“Governor Dayton’s speech tonight was a great reminder about the progress we’ve made and the work that lies ahead. We’ve increased funding for education and boosted funding for job training and job creation, but there is still work to be done. It was an honor to be able to take part in this event as the Representative for our communities. We’re working quickly to finish our work on time this session and it was great to hear Governor Dayton speak in support of that work tonight.”
