I’d like to congratulate Minimizer and the City of Blooming Prairie on their recent grant from the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). Mayor Harold Peterson was recently notified that Blooming Prairie will be receiving $215,829 for infrastructure improvements through the Greater Minnesota Business Development Public Infrastructure Program. The funds will help the city extend the water main, storm sewer, and roadway to assist in the business expansion of Minimizer.
This grant is a great example of the work that public and private entities can do when they work together. Through the hard work of Mayor Peterson and the folks in Blooming Prairie, Minimizer can continue their expansion and creation of new jobs. Everyone involved should be incredibly proud to see these funds coming to a community in our area
I hope we can provide more funding for projects just like this at the Legislature this year.
