House DFL leaders statement on Governor Dayton’s supplemental budget

Thursday, March 6, 2014

Saint Paul, Minnesota -  House DFL leaders released the following statement today about Governor Dayton’s supplemental budget, which provides significant tax cuts to middle class Minnesotans and businesses. The House will take up a bill later this afternoon to provide $500 million in middle class and business tax cuts.

Speaker Paul Thissen:

“Minnesota is headed in the right direction and the way to continue building on our progress is to expand middle class economic opportunity.  Governor Dayton’s supplemental budget has the right priorities to continue growing our economy from the middle out.”

House Majority Leader Erin Murphy:

“The Governor’s supplemental budget is a continuation of our priorities last session to build an honest budget that puts middle class Minnesotans first. We will work with a sense of urgency to pass middle class tax cuts today on the House floor. We need to work quickly and together to continue building on our progress for a stronger Minnesota future.”
