St. Paul—On Wednesday, January 28, 2015, Speaker Kurt Daudt (R-Crown) and Chair of the House Government Operations and Elections Policy Committee Representative Tim Sanders (R-Blaine) announced the formation of a new Subcommittee on Metropolitan Council Accountability and Transparency.
Representative Kelly Fenton (R-Woodbury) was appointed to serve on the subcommittee.
“The Met Council has a huge impact on my district and Washington County, and I look forward to serving on this subcommittee to ensure they are accountable to the communities they serve and are working in the best interest of the seven county metro area,” said Rep. Fenton.
Representative Linda Runbeck (R-Circle Pines) will be chairing the committee. In addition, other members serving on the subcommittee include Rep. Jim Nash, Rep. Tony Albright, Rep. Laurie Halverson, Rep. Carolyn Laine and Rep. Yvonne Selcer.
