Legislative Update (Jan. 23, 2015)

Friday, January 23, 2015

Friends and Neighbors,

The legislative session is off to a great start, and I am proud to serve as your voice in St. Paul.

As the father of two young daughters, I understand the financial challenges that families go through to ensure that their children are cared for when both parents are working. That financial strain was maximized when Governor Dayton proposed that childcare providers should be unionized. I’m looking forward to discussing proposals this session to lessen the financial strain families will face as unionization progresses, and am committed to finding a solution for you and your family to minimize the impact on your budget.

I had the opportunity to sit down with House Information Services for an information interview during the first week of session. Watch my interview to learn about our district, why I chose to run to represent you, and a favorite book. I hope that all of you will learn something new about me, and maybe you’ll even be inspired to join me by participating in One Book, One Lakeville!

As always, please feel free to come and visit me at the Capitol to discuss your legislative concerns. You can schedule an appointment to meet with me in my office in Saint Paul by calling my Legislative Assistant at (651) 296-4375, or you can email me directly at rep.jon.koznick@house.mn. If your neighbors don’t already get my updates, encourage them to sign up to stay informed by visiting this link.

It is an honor to serve you and your family.

Rep. Jon Koznick
