ST. PAUL – State Rep. Drew Christensen (R-Burnsville) was officially sworn in to his first term as a state representative on Tuesday, January 6, after taking the oath of office administered by Chief Justice Lori Gildea. Christensen replaces retiring State Representative Pam Myhra in representing House District 56A – encompassing the city of Savage and northwest Burnsville – at the Capitol in St. Paul.
“I’m honored to have been elected to serve the people of Savage and Burnsville in the legislature,” said Christensen. “I am looking forward to serving on three great committees, where I will advocate for fiscal responsibility while ensuring that the needs of our hardworking Minnesota families are met.”
Christensen’s committee assignments include Aging & Long-Term Care Policy, Education Finance, Higher Education Policy & Finance and Education Innovation.
