TONY ALBRIGHT SWORN IN TO SECOND TERM AS STATE REPRESENTATIVE

ST. PAUL – State Rep. Tony Albright (R-Prior Lake) was officially sworn in to his second term as a state representative on Tuesday, January 6, after taking the oath of office administered by Chief Justice Lori Gildea. Albright, a businessman, will continue to represent House District 55B – encompassing the cities of St. Lawrence, Jordan, Sand Creek, Spring Lake, Credit River and Prior Lake, as well as parts of Shakopee – at the Capitol in St. Paul.

“I’m very proud to have been reelected by the people of House District 55B to serve in the new Republican majority,” said Albright. “I am looking forward to working diligently for the great families in my district and across the state of Minnesota.”

Albright’s committee assignments include Capital Investment, Government Operations & Elections Policy, Healthy & Human Services Reform, Rules & Legislative Administration, State Government Finance and Ways & Means, where he will serve as Vice Chair.

“My committee assignments are a reflection of my priorities for this session,” said Albright. “We must focus on making government more responsible while improving upon the ways we serve our hard-working families.”
