Legislative Update (Jan. 9, 2015)

Friday, January 9, 2015

Neighbors,

I am honored to have been sworn in as your State Representative on Tuesday, January 6th, and I am excited to have the opportunity to be your voice at the State Capitol. I’m looking forward to serving you.

The 2015 Legislative Session is off to a start, and we are putting your family and Minnesota’s future first in everything we do. Our five major priorities for this session include growing better-paying jobs, ensuring that our community’s children are receiving a world-class education, protecting our parents’ and grandparents’ quality of life by investing in long-term care, focusing transportation spending on roads and bridges, and ensuring fair access and affordability in healthcare. These priorities will drive our legislation as we aim to make government work better for you and your family.

This session, I will be serving on the Higher Education Policy and Finance, Education Finance, Education Innovation Policy, and Aging and Long-Term Care Policy committees.

I’m eager to hear from many of you to discuss the issues that come up in committee and on the floor. If you plan on visiting the Capitol, please be sure to call my office at (651) 296-4212 to schedule a time to visit my office and talk about the issues that are most important to you and your family. Don’t hesitate to stay in touch via email – you can reach me at rep.drew.christensen@house.mn.

Thank you for this great honor,

Rep. Drew Christensen
