Dear Neighbors and Friends:
Every year, on November 11, we celebrate our nation’s military service members who have sacrificed for our country. Veterans Day reminds us to honor and celebrate the brave men and women who have fought to protect us and our way of life.
Our community, our state, and our country owe a great deal to our veterans. The way of life that our families enjoy is only possible through the service of those in our armed forces across the globe. Their service deserves our thanks not only on Veterans Day, but every day of the year.
One of the ways we can show our thanks is through the “Beyond the Yellow Ribbon" program, which works to connect service members and their families with community support, training, services and resources. “Beyond the Yellow Ribbon” does excellent work. No matter how we show our appreciation, it’s important that we let our veterans know how much their service means to us and our community. So to all the veterans out there, I want to thank you for your service. Your sacrifice is what makes our country great.
