ST. PAUL, MN – House Elections Chair Rep. Steve Simon (DFL – Hopkins) issued the following statement in response to a lawsuit challenging the implementation of online voter registration.
"Online voter registration is an important, meaningful, and popular reform. Minnesotans assume and expect that it should be available. Instead of filing a lawsuit, lawmakers from both sides of the aisle should work together to make it a permanent option available to all eligible Minnesota voters. I plan to team up with Senate Elections Chair Katie Sieben, and work with both Democrats and Republicans during the 2014 legislative session, to make that happen.”
