Fenton Takes Oath of Office

Thursday, January 8, 2015

St. Paul, MN— Kelly Fenton (R-Woodbury) was officially sworn in as a state representative on Tuesday, January 6, in St. Paul after taking the oath of office administered by Chief Justice Lori Gildea. This is her first term in the Minnesota House of Representatives.

“It’s an honor to represent District 53B, and I plan to roll up my sleeves and get to work immediately, passing legislation that benefits Woodbury,” said Fenton. “I am here to serve the hardworking people of my community and welcome your input on state government. For me, improving our economy, strengthening our education system and reining in wasteful government spending will be top priorities this session.”

Fenton, a former educator who is replacing retired State Representative Andrea Kieffer, will serve on the following committees: Rules and Legislative Administration, Education Finance, Environment and Natural Resources Policy and Finance, and Government Operations and Election Policy.
