Legislative Update (Dec. 24, 2014)

Wednesday, December 24, 2014

Dear Neighbor,

I'm pleased to announce my committee assignments for the 2015 and 2016 legislative sessions. As you know, I’ll be chairing the House Civil Law & Data Practices Committee. In addition, I’ll be serving on Job Growth & Energy Affordability Policy & Finance, Government Operations& Elections, Commerce & Regulatory Reform, and Rules & Legislative Administration.

TE CONNECTIVITY

The City of Andover has welcomed a new business to the community. TE Connectivity, one of the largest connectivity and sensor companies in the world, opened a new facility to design and manufacture highly engineered, innovative temperature sensors. I’m thankful that manufacturing jobs are coming to Andover and I’m proud they employ people from within and around our community.

D-DAY FILM

The Science Museum of Minnesota is pleased to host a very special Omnitheater film screening of their D-Day: Normandy 1944 film to honor and thank our veterans for their service. All veterans are invited to attend a free screening of the film and enjoy a free general admission pass to the museum. This event will be available on a first come, first serve basis until the 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. screenings on January 8 are booked to capacity.

You are encouraged to RSVP by January 5 by emailing DDayEvent@smm.org or calling 651-221-4515.
