Legislative Update (Dec. 22, 2014)

Monday, December 22, 2014

Dear neighbor,

I’m pleased to announce my committee assignments for the 2015 and 2016 legislative sessions. I have been appointed to serve on four committees including Health & Human Services Finance, Health & Human Services Reform, Civil Law & Data Practices, and Public Safety & Crime Prevention Policy & Finance.

In particular, I'm excited to serve on the Public Safety & Crime Prevention Policy & Finance Committee given my law enforcement background. I worked for the Office of the Anoka County Sheriff for five years in the crime lab as a civilian. Later, I went to work for Target Corporation where I set up a private latent print lab in Target’s Forensic Services division. During that time I conducted fingerprint examinations as part of investigations into thefts at Target stores across the country. I’ve also worked as an evidence technician and as a criminalist specializing in latent prints.

My office has officially moved from 303 to 433 in the State Office Building. My other contact information will remain the same. Please feel free to touch base with me with any questions, comments, or concerns you have on legislative issues.

I want to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year! You can count on hearing from me more frequently once session begins.

Sincerely,

Nick
