ST. PAUL – Representative Nick Zerwas (R-Elk River) announced today his committee assignments for the 2015 and 2016 legislative sessions.
Speaker-designate Kurt Daudt has appointed Zerwas to serve on four House committees including Health & Human Services Finance, Health & Human Services Reform, Civil Law & Data Practices, and Public Safety & Crime Prevention Policy & Finance.
“Given the problems Minnesotans are having with MNsure, I am eager to work on solutions to begin to fix our state’s health exchange,” said Zerwas. “I hope Democrats will join us as we work toward patient-centered and market-oriented reforms for how we deliver healthcare in Minnesota.”
Zerwas, a first-term lawmaker, is scheduled to be officially sworn into office for his second term on January 6, 2015 to represent House District 30A – encompassing Elk River, Big Lake, Big Lake Township, and Otsego.
