ST. PAUL – House Speaker-designate Kurt Daudt (R-Crown) announced today that Representative Marion O’Neill (R-Maple Lake) will serve as the Vice Chair of the House Higher Education Policy and Finance Committee for the 2015 and 2016 legislative sessions.
“As I’ve toured small businesses from around the state, I’ve heard consistently from job creators that getting a four-year college degree isn’t the only way to get a good-paying job. For instance, many manufacturing companies in Minnesota are looking for individuals with a technical education. I plan to use that jobs-oriented perspective as we craft legislation for higher education.”
O’Neill will be officially sworn in for her second term representing House District 29B on January 6, 2015. House District 29B encompasses Buffalo, Buffalo Township, Maple Lake, Maple Lake Township, Monticello, Monticello Township, and Silver Creek Township.
