Wednesday, December 3, 2014

ST. PAUL, Minn.—State Representative Tim Sanders, R-Blaine, was recently selected by Speaker of the House-designate Kurt Daudt, R-Crown, to serve as an Assistant Majority Leader of the Minnesota House of Representatives.

As an Executive Board member, Sanders will help craft a political vision for the new Republican House majority as well as develop policies that benefit all Minnesotans.

“I am honored to have a seat at the leadership table where we will work hard to bring commonsense, efficiency, and cost savings to government. The new House majority is on the side of the hardworking taxpayer, and we will work on balanced legislation that benefits all Minnesotans and our small businesses,” said Sanders.

“Rep. Sanders is widely respected in our caucus and he brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. His ideas for making government more efficient and encouraging job growth in our communities will be integral as we move forward. I’m honored to appoint him as an Assistant Majority Leader,” said Speaker-designate Kurt Daudt.

Sanders will also serve as Chair of the Government Operations & Elections Policy Committee during the 2015-2016 legislative sessions. He will officially assume his leadership roles and begin his fourth term at the start of session on January 6, 2015.
