LOHMER ELECTED ASSISTANT MAJORITY LEADER

Tuesday, December 2, 2014
ST. PAUL – State Rep. Kathy Lohmer (R-Stillwater) was elected Tuesday by her House Republican colleagues to serve as an Assistant Majority Leader. Lohmer’s new position will give her a seat at the leadership table as House Republicans enact their legislative priorities and reforms for the 2015 and 2016 legislative sessions.

“I’m humbled to have the support of my colleagues to have a voice at the leadership table as we set our agenda for the next two years,” said Lohmer. “I believe my dedication to market-oriented and patient-centered healthcare reforms will serve Minnesotans well as we begin to find solutions to fix MNsure.”

“I’m honored to have Rep. Lohmer join our leadership team,” said Speaker-designate Kurt Daudt. “Her passion for working to find low-cost and high-quality solutions to our healthcare system will be an asset for our caucus.”

Lohmer will be sworn in for her third term on January 6 of next year when the 2015 Legislative Session begins.
