ST. PAUL – Rep. Mary Franson (R-Alexandria) issued the following statement in reaction to the multi-car train derailment in Bluffton that occurred early Monday morning.
“I’m very thankful and relieved that no one was injured and that no hazardous materials were aboard the train,” said Franson. “I plan to work with local, state, and federal officials to work to prevent another train derailment in the future. Until we find additional means to transport goods, I’m concerned another accident like this could happen again.”
