ST. PAUL – Minnesota House Speaker-elect Kurt Daudt has appointed State Representative Greg Davids (R-Preston) as Chairman of the Minnesota House Taxes Committee.
“The past two years have been rough for poor and middle class Minnesotans as the previous House leadership forced them to pay massive tax increases,” Davids said. “I’m ready to help improve our business climate and assist our working families with our tax bill next session, and look forward to working with Senator Skoe, Commissioner Frans, and Governor Dayton on these issues.”
Davids said his committee will oversee every tax program in the state and ensure that each is operating efficiently.
Davids previously served as taxes chairman in 2011 and 2012.
