Upcoming Town Hall Meetings

Friday, July 12, 2013

Dear neighbors,

I hope you and your loved ones are enjoying your summer!

As you’re planning vacations, get-togethers with friends and other activities with your family, I hope you can take a little time out of your busy schedule to attend one of my upcoming town hall meetings.

My first meeting this month is taking place on Tuesday, July 23 from 5:00-7:00pm at the Rondo Library, located at 461 N. Dale Street.

The second meeting will be on Wednesday, July 31 from 5:00-7:00pm at the Hamline-Midway Library, located at 1558 W. Minnehaha Avenue.

Both meetings are a great opportunity to ask questions and get more information about the following topics:

  • Early childhood education scholarships to help low-income families send their children to preschool.

  • Parent Aware, a tool that provides free, research-based tools and resources that help parents ask important questions and make informed choices about high quality early learning opportunities.

  • Childcare providers’ and Personal Care Attendants’ new ability to vote on whether they want to bargain collectively for better wages and working conditions.

I’ll be joined by my colleague Rep. Mike Nelson, who represents Brooklyn Park, to answer any questions about childcare providers and Personal Care Attendants. In addition, we’ll be joined by a representative from Think Small, a local organization dedicated to advancing quality care and education of children in their crucial early years.

If you have any questions about the upcoming town hall meetings, please call my Legislative Assistant Michael Mollner at (651) 296-5489.

I hope to see you later this month so we can chat more about making sure every child has the ability to reach his or her full potential.

Together we are stronger!

Sincerely,

Rena Moran
State Representative, District 65A
