ST. PAUL, MN—Rep. Jim Newberger, R-Becker, issued the following statement congratulating the 2014 Farm
Families of the Year from District 15B. The Farm Family Recognition Program is coordinated by the University of Minnesota Extension; the College of Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resources Sciences; and the College of Veterinary Medicine and recognizes families from Minnesota's 87 counties who have made significant contributions to Minnesota agriculture and their communities. The 2014 Farm Family Recognition Program will be held on Thursday, August 07th at Farmfest.
"I want to congratulate the families from Benton, Morrison, and Wright County on being nominated and recognized as 2014 Farm Families of the year, Newberger said. "It's great to see your dedication to agriculture and community involvement being recognized, and I want you to know your efforts and leadership are deeply appreciated."
The 15B Farm Families of the Year are as follows (though some may live outside the district, these families represent the counties that fall within District 15B):
Wright County: Carlsons Orchard, Bakery, and Restaurant
Benton County: Kaschmitter Family Farm
Morrison County: Jerry and Jackie Januschka
Sherburne County: No nomination for 2014
