News from Representative Wills 07-11-2014

Friday, July 11, 2014

Dear Friends,

I hope you had an enjoyable Independence Day and were able to enjoy the fireworks and festivities out in the community. It is always good for us to take time to remember the sacrifices that were made for us to be free from British rule over 200 years ago, and the ongoing sacrifices of the brave men and women who continue to defend our freedom at home and abroad.

It's been an exciting week for District 57B. This week, I joined fellow Apple Valley Chamber members at a ribbon-cutting on Tuesday, July 8th, for OrangeTheory Fitness in Apple Valley. This new fitness facility is located on Pilot Knob Road in Apple Valley, and is a great new addition to the community. Members of the military can receive discounted membership & packages with a valid ID. For more information you can visit http://www.orangetheoryfitness.com/apple-valley.

Later on Tuesday, I attended the ground-breaking for the Hanifl Family Wild Woods play area at the Minnesota Zoo. This area will be a place for the youngest visitors to the Zoo to play while learning about animals and seeing the various exhibits.

This new play area is privately funded by individual donors and the General Mills Foundation, showing the community support for the Minnesota Zoo. To learn more, visit: http://mnzoo.org/press-room/press-releases/minnesota-zoo-breaks-ground-hanifl-family-wild-woods-new-nature-based-play-area/

County Road 42 Road Construction
Construction to improve segments of County Road 42 from Diamond Path to Highway 3, and from Highway 52 to Highway 55 will begin on July 14th and is expected to cause some delays. Please be sure to plan for these delays or explore detours as you're making your plans for the week ahead. You can find more information on the road construction from the Rosemount Town Pages article by clicking here.

Next week will be my last email update for 2014. If you have questions or comments you would like to pass along, I am able to respond, answer questions, and provide assistance; but campaign finance laws prohibit mass mailings (like these email updates) 60 days after the end of session.

I remain committed to being there for you in whatever way I can as summer continues, so please don't hesitate to ask if I can be of help with constituent work, answering questions, or just letting me know your thoughts and suggestions.

As always, thank you for the privilege of representing our community, and for all your correspondences and feedback on these email updates and our work at the legislature.

Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Anna Wills
State Representative, District 57B
