Yesterday, Governor Dayton signed a historic bill that makes Minnesota a more welcoming, inclusive place.
The Marriage Equality Act gives every Minnesotan the right to marry the person they love. It makes our state a national leader when it comes to ensuring justice and equality under the law for all people.

As I said in my speech, I believe justice requires struggle. It requires us to acknowledge doubt. It demands that we grow. And it allows our union to become better.
Justice knocked on our door for years. Yesterday, we opened that door, and because we did, we made Minnesota a stronger, fuller, and more inclusive place.
