Dear Neighbor,
I wish you and your family a blessed Easter/Passover. The Legislature will return to the Capitol next week after observing these holidays.
This will bring us to the home stretch of the 2014 session. One of the top items of business will be a bonding bill to fund projects throughout Minnesota. As always, the overall price tag of this borrowing will be a key point of discussion. So will the value of particular projects. The finished product should be one that focuses on essential infrastructure projects and spares the pork that typically gets heaped on top.
I will circle back to this topic as we resume work in St. Paul. Until then, it is nice having this week in the district to discuss issues with area people. Here’s hoping you also can enjoy extra time with friends and loved ones.
