Dear Neighbors,
Governor Mark Dayton, Speaker of the House Paul Thissen, state legislators and community members are holding an important event this Sunday, April 21 at 2:30pm at St. Paul Central High School to drum up support for the K-12 education bill that I helped to construct before the House takes final action on Tuesday.
We’re calling it a Pep Rally for Minnesota’s Future and we need you to be there with us.
It’s no secret that Minnesota’s education system has fallen behind over the past decade. Fortunately, the House DFL has a plan to end the status quo of cuts and gimmicks and move us forward in a new direction to give every student a brighter future by emphasizing better funding, addressing racial disparity gaps and making it possible for all students to be career and college ready by the time they graduate from high school.
I hope to see you at the pep rally. Let’s make sure Minnesotans know that we’re putting students first.
