ST. PAUL, MN – Today Rep. Jeanne Poppe (DFL-Austin) welcomed dozens of young Minnesotans to St. Paul for the Minnesota FFA Day at the Capitol.
The annual visit, which coincides with the national FFA Week, gives students an opportunity to meet with elected officials and discuss vital issues surrounding agricultural education.
The Agriculture Policy Committee, chaired by Rep. Poppe, recognized visiting FFA members and heard several presentations earlier today.
“FFA Day at the Capitol gives students a chance to see our state government in action,” said Rep. Poppe. “I’m looking forward to meeting members from my district and around the state to discuss how we can improve agricultural education programs.”
Today marks the 16th year of FFA’s Day at the Capitol.
