Wednesday, February 13, 2013

St. Paul, Minnesota — State Representative Laurie Halverson (DFL – Eagan) is encouraging local students to attend and participate in the Eagan High School STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Career Fair. The STEM Career Fair will be held on Tuesday, February 26, from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Eagan High School in the Student Commons (4185 Braddock Trail).

Students in grades 9-12 from all area high schools and their parents are invited to the STEM Career Fair to learn more about careers in science, technology, engineering, and math. Students will have an opportunity to talk with engineers, information technology professionals, health care professionals, and many others to explore STEM careers. The event is free and open to the public. No registration is necessary to attend.

“Careers in science, math, technology, and engineering are the future of our economy,” said Rep. Halverson. “These fields drive innovation and will lead to new industries and careers we can’t even imagine today. I encourage students to attend this career fair and take advantage of this excellent opportunity.”
